Purpose of training

Ellistat (1 day)
Objective and teaching methods:

The purpose of this training is to study the main functions of Ellistat in order to use statistics as a tool of proof and decision-making. This course will revisit the main functions of Ellistat, description of data, statistical tests, construction of an experience plan. Without going into the details of statistical calculations, this training will focus primarily on discovering the tools available and knowing how to use them. The whole course is illustrated by many exercises from the industrial experience of the facilitator. At the end of this training, trainees will be able to fully use Ellistat to interpret their data.

This training, offered in collaboration with Pillet Consulting, is led by Davy Pillet, Engineer at Polytechnique, Master Black Belt Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Consultant. Davy Pillet was successively responsible for the continuous improvement of the Ugine site (350 people) at AREVA then the Rumilly & Tournus site (1500 people - € 500 million turnover) at SEB.

Ellisetting (5 days)
Objective and teaching methods:

This internship aims to learn how to implement intelligent driving on a production machine. From a real part, the objective will be to understand the concepts of intelligent driving and train trainees to build a piloting matrix.

This training, offered in collaboration with Pillet Consulting, is led by Davy Pillet, Engineer at Polytechnique, Master Black Belt Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Consultant. Davy Pillet was successively responsible for the continuous improvement of the Ugine site (350 people) at AREVA then the Rumilly & Tournus site (1500 people - € 500 million turnover) at SEB.

Training plan
Day 1:
  • Reminder of the basic principles of process control and control charts.
  • Intelligent flight training. Introduction of concepts and construction of several control matrices on many examples.
  • Application: Application on industrial simulator.

Day 2:
  • Construction of the first control matrix on real room.
  • From the toolpaths and the production plans, trainees calculate the impact of each of the correctors on the characteristics of the part.
Day 3:
  • Test of the control matrix.
  • Machine tests and verification of the pilotag matrix.
  • Setting up different settings contexts. Green light, MSP, etc ...
  • Application: Application of intelligent control on real room.

Day 4 and 5 (one month later):
  • Analysis of production data.
  • Validation of the gait and machine tests.

Experience Plans (3 days)
Objective and teaching methods:

The whole course is based on learning by doing. Also, each day, the trainees will practice the method of the plans of experiments on process simulators or on real systems. This approach helps to understand the concepts of the method in an interactive process. The trainee will have at his disposal the book "Introduction to the plans of experiments by the methods Taguchi" of Mr. Pillet.

The applications are processed with the "Ellipse" program for processing complete plans, 2-level factorials, multiple regressions and response surface plans. The whole course is illustrated by many exercises from the industrial experience of the facilitator.

Statistical Tests (2 days)
Objective and teaching methods:

The purpose of this training is to learn how to use statistics as a tool of proof and decision-making.

When you have to make a decision based on test results, you have to be able to analyze the behavior of a parameter (how does it diffuse and how stable is it over time? random evolution?) and on the other hand be able to show the existence or not of a relation between a Y (variable to be explained) and an X (variable which potentially causes the deviations on the Y). The aim of this internship is to revisit these two classic stages of statistics with concrete examples.

Industrial Vision (2 to 5 days)
Goal :

Practical oriented, this training is intended for all technicians and engineers who are called upon to use vision systems and allows participants to learn about the different technologies used in the field of vision in order to develop and maintain powerful applications. . The basic training makes it possible to become familiar with all the elements of an installation (cameras and acquisition card, optics and lighting) as well as with the programming (basic image processing, quality control, dimensional measurements, synchronization of image taking and communication with the machine).

Initial training plan:
Day 1:
  • Introduction to vision systems: what are the possible applications, what are the performances, how to apprehend a need and what is the approach to achieve the goal.
  • How to choose and size the hardware environment of a vision system according to its application: Cameras and acquisition cards, Objectives, Lighting, systems (PCs, smart cameras, automatons of vision), accessories.
  • Presentation of the available vision functions according to the different types of applications.
Day 2:
  • How to program a system for the realization of a control system for dimensional measurement, positioning and identification applications.
  • How to create a "complex" control program with conditions and / or loops + the decision ..
  • How to integrate a vision system in an industrial environment: mechanics, environment, communication and synchronization.
  • How to calibrate and maintain a system as well as manage measurement programs.
Advanced Training Plan:
Day 3: (optional)
  • Realization of a concrete case defined beforehand by the customer.
  • How to program a system for the realization of a system of aesthetic control.
Day 4: (optional)

Advanced Camera Training:

  • Presentation of the different types of cameras: standard video, progressive analog scan, digital, linear, smartcamera.
  • Presentation of the different image acquisition modes: freerun, trigge mode, immediate, wait next image, etc ...

Advanced Lighting Training:

  • Presentation and test of specific lighting for aspect control: direct lighting (ringlight, doal, LED bar ...), indirect lighting (backlight, dome ...), grazing lights.

Advanced Goal Training:

  • Theoretical optical introduction: description of the main parameters of a vision system, how to obtain a "good image" ?, theoretical calculations (FOV, aperture, depth of field, resolution ...), optical effects (diffraction, aberrations), telecentricity.
